Scenic landscape with rolling hills, green trees, and rocks in the foreground at sunset, with clouds and a colorful sky in the background.

Pure air. Unspoilt nature.

Granja Penitente is just 20 minutes from Minas and we’re surrounded by local attractions. El Salto del Penitente waterfall and park is a 5-minute drive (or an hour on foot). Villa Serrana has restaurants, hikes, and horseriding and is just 25 minutes away. Don Alejandro’s olive farm is just down the road, and a unique restaurant is right next door; Estación Penitente is built from reclaimed materials, including antique railway wagons. We’re pretty sure you won’t have been anyway like it before.

There are well-maintained footpaths on the property, places to sit and read a book or enjoy the view. The pool is unheated but gets comfortably warm in summer.

We grow our own fruit and vegetables (and we’re about to start making our own wine). You’re welcome to help yourself to whatever is in season (and you have a herb garden right next to the Shepherd’s Hut).
